Built by veterans. Run like an operation, not a sales floor.
OPS ONE GROUP is a veteran-owned payment operations advisory. We exist because business owners deserve infrastructure that works, support that answers, and advisors who stay accountable.
Veteran-Owned Business
Founded by a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran and a Rhode Island Army National Guard Staff Sergeant

We watched the same failure pattern destroy trust for years. So we built a company that operates differently.
Business owners were being sold payment systems by people who never asked how their operation actually runs. The conversation always started and ended with rates — lowest this, best that — while nobody examined the questions that determine whether a system will work: How does your staff process transactions? What does end-of-day reconciliation look like? How do payments connect to your accounting, your inventory, your reporting?
The result was the same every time: systems that did not fit, support that did not exist, and costs that did not match the pitch. When problems surfaced — and they always did — there was nobody to call who understood the setup, because the person who sold it had already moved on.
With decades of combined experience in banking, merchant services, and payment technology — and a shared foundation of military discipline — we built OPS ONE GROUP to operate the way this industry should have been operating from the start. We treat payment systems as an operations problem, not a sales opportunity. We stay involved after implementation because that is where accountability is actually tested.
The people who set the standard and enforce it

Pierry Vargas
Co-Owner
Pierry spent nearly a decade at Bank of America building deep relationships with business owners across banking and merchant services. His reputation was built on loyalty, operational insight, and a client-first approach that kept business owners coming back for guidance long after formal engagements ended. He does not pitch products — he diagnoses problems and engineers solutions.
Pierry serves with the Rhode Island Army National Guard as a Staff Sergeant and Horizontal Construction Engineer with the 861st Engineer Company. His military service includes training operations, readiness missions, and humanitarian work supporting veterans and their families. He has been awarded the Army Achievement Medal three times, the Humanitarian Service Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal.
At OPS ONE, Pierry leads client engagements with the same discipline and accountability he carries in uniform — evaluating, implementing, and optimizing payment systems for businesses that need an advisor who stays in the fight long after the contract is signed.

David Ramage
Co-Owner
David brings over a decade of executive experience in merchant services and payments at Bank of America and Fiserv. He has held roles including Vice President and Senior Merchant Consultant, Strategic Sales Director, and Regional Sales Leader — earning recognition as a 2x Platinum Club Winner. His career has been defined by building high-performing teams, developing strategic initiatives, and earning lasting client trust through transparency and measurable results.
David served in the United States Marine Corps from 1987 to 1991 as a combat veteran during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. That experience forged his leadership foundation — discipline, accountability, adaptability, and decisive action under pressure — principles that define how he leads and how he advises clients today. He is an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the National Ski Patrol.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Roger Williams University and brings over 20 years of real estate experience and 5 years in the mortgage industry. At OPS ONE, David partners with business owners to build payment infrastructure that supports growth, operational clarity, and long-term stability — not short-term sales targets.
These are not values on a wall. They are rules we enforce on ourselves.
Service Before Sales
Rooted in our military backgrounds, we serve first. Every recommendation starts with your best interest — not a quota, a commission, or a product push. If we cannot improve your operation, we say so directly.
Operational Clarity
We eliminate ambiguity. Every fee is explained before you commit. Every recommendation is documented with reasoning. Every contract term is written in language you can verify — because clarity is not optional, it is how we operate.
Accountability Without Conditions
We own our recommendations. When we build a system, we stand behind it with direct, ongoing support. If something breaks, we fix it. No escalation path. No ticket queue. No excuses.
Long-Term Infrastructure Thinking
We do not optimize for the first transaction. We build payment infrastructure that serves your business for years — adapting as you grow, expand locations, add channels, and change how you operate.
Every engagement follows the same disciplined structure
Assess First
Every engagement starts with understanding your operation — not pitching a product. We ask questions about your business, your workflow, your pain points, and your goals before we discuss a single solution. If we do not understand the problem, we do not propose an answer.
Recommend Honestly
Our recommendations are based on what fits your operation — not what pays us the most. If your current setup is working, we tell you. If it is not, we explain exactly why, document the evidence, and lay out what needs to change.
Stay Accountable
Implementation is not the finish line — it is where accountability begins. We provide ongoing support, proactive monitoring, and direct adjustments as your business evolves. You will always reach someone who knows your account and your configuration.
Every engagement starts the same way: we learn how your business actually runs.
Whether you are evaluating a new payment system or questioning whether your current setup is costing you more than it should — we are ready to have that conversation. No pitch. No pressure. Just a structured review of your operation.
